By using this web site to establish utility service, you are entering into a contract for and purchasing utility services. Upon the successful registration for and confirmation of service, you will be expected to pay for the utility service(s) you have requested from ComEd, beginning from the "turn on" or service initiation date and continuing until either you or ComEd discontinue the service. The laws of the State of Illinois and ComEd's Electric Service Tariff govern the terms and conditions of this contractual relationship.
By clicking "Yes, I have read and understand and agree to these terms and conditions" below, I am also certifying to ComEd that I am the ComEd customer of record on all of the accounts that are the subject of the account management functions that I am selecting, directing, and/or requesting, or that I am fully legally authorized by that customer to act on their behalf in selecting, directing, and/or requesting those functions and also in agreeing to the Additional Terms and Conditions set forth below. For purposes of those Additional Terms and Conditions, the term "the customer" shall be understood to include that customer, me, and any and all persons and entities on whose behalf I am acting.
Additional Terms and Conditions: The customer waives any and all claims against ComEd that ComEd should not have accepted and/or effectuated the selections, directions, and/or requests I am giving as to those accounts. The customer shall hold harmless and indemnify ComEd for any and all liability and/or claims or complaints by the customer and any and all other persons and entities against ComEd arising out of ComEd's acceptance and/or effectuation of, and/or any and all other acts and omissions of ComEd based on, those selections, directions, and/or requests. The customer agrees that ComEd is not responsible for those selections, directions, and/or requests.
ComEd does not have the power to enter into agreements for services between yourself and alternate suppliers. Should you wish to receive your electric generation supply from a source other than ComEd, you will need to contact the supplier of your choice to establish such service. Unless you choose an alternate electric supplier, ComEd will function as your supplier. You may select or change to an alternate supplier at anytime.
