Did you know electricity from wind energy is one of the fastest growing methods of electrical generation in the world? It’s true. As you may have heard through news reports, or even seen with your own eyes, wind turbines mounted in places where weather patterns are beneficial can convert kinetic energy from moving air into electricity.
Because wind energy requires no fuel and does not produce pollution or greenhouse gases, it reduces the environmental impact of generating electricity. While wind turbines can be used individually, they are typically installed in groups to form what are called “wind farms.” The electricity generated from such wind farms can be used locally or placed on the electric grid to power homes and businesses farther away.
